Three Stage Wins,
Two Jerseys and One Successful Tour
de Georgia for Team Health Net Presented
by Maxxis
Lance Armstrong came
out on top overall at the Tour de
Georgia, but he's not the only one
who had some good results. The Bell-sponsored
Health Net Pro Cycling Team Presented
by Maxxis won three of the seven stages,
and took home the overall points jersey
and KoM jersey for best climber.
Health Net riders
spent a lot of time at the front,
and in addition to their wins, they
took a third, fourth, fifth and seventh
place in various stages. Scott Moninger
finished 7th overall on GC, 3:44 behind
Armstrong, on the strength of his
12th place in the Stage 4 individual
time trial and 5th place finish in
Stage 6.
Health Net finished
third overall in the team competition
behind winner CSC, which has been
the top team in Europe thus far this
season, and USPS-Berry Floor, which
has more than 10 wins in Europe this
year.
Team CSCand Team Health Net presented
by Maxxis race exclusively in Bell
Ghisallo helmets.
